Don Garber needs to get the hell out of MLS so it can be run like an actual football league, not some bizarre deformed monstrosity desperate for the love and affection of NYC and LA.

1. Speaking of the MLS and Man U..
I realize it was a friendly, but Schmid, and by extension the Sounders, embarrassed the entire league with that second half showing..

2. Meh.
Only to those who don't pay attention to the reality that MLS teams don't play their starters in these friendlies...

4. Which is pretty much everyone who isn't a hardcore MLS fan
All people saw was the scoreline. The Guardian write-up didn't mention any Sounders by name, didn't mention the solid first half the starters put in, didn't mention the wholesale substitutions in the second half...it was just that ManUre tore Seattle a new one.

Shocking how few people saw that coming beforehand.

5. Most people who aren't hardcore MLS fans, and who might become MLS fans...
... likely didn't know the game was played.

If I'm a Manchester United fan, I'm fairly embarrassed by the fact that my team only beat New England 4-1 and Chicago 3-1.

3. Yes, yes they did...and that's why I absolutely refused to watch it
Once Sigi said that they were going to give everybody a chance to play, I knew it would turn ugly. My fellow Sounders fans are screaming their heads off that "It was just a friendly, it doesn't mean anything!" and "Our starting XI totally dominated the 1st half!"

No one cares, dumbasses. 0-7 is all anyone sees. We look pathetic.

Personally, I think the front office screwed up by giving Sigi another contract. He should be shown the door. He doesn't know how to coach the players he has.
