North Carolina receives notice of allegations from NCAA...
North Carolina has received a notice of allegations from the NCAA outlining violations in the football program.

Team spokesman Kevin Best confirmed that the school had received the notice and that UNC planned to release it later Tuesday. The NCAA has been looking into improper benefits and academic misconduct involving a tutor since first visiting the Chapel Hill campus last summer.

The university has 90 days to respond to the notice. It comes two weeks after the NCAA said it planned to complete the investigation this month in a belated "notice of inquiry," a procedural step that stands as a formal notification of an investigation into a sports program.

Fourteen players missed at least one game last season due to the investigation. Seven were ruled out for the entire year, while an eighth was cleared at midseason but decided to redshirt.

1. If the NCAA STILL hasn't concluded it's investigation yet, why were so many players
suspended last year? Was it a team suspension or did the NCAA suspend players for the season on allegations?

Don't misunderstand me, I'm all for the NCAA investigating this fully and handing out the appropriate punishments, it just seems to me to be handled completely different than the Ohio St. situation.

2. That's what happens when you hire a coach that used to work for the Dallas Cowboys
Once a slimeball, always a slimeball.

Of course I lost all respect for the UNC football program when they installed lights at Kenan Stadium. The original donor made it a condition of his bequest that the stadium never rise above tree level, so that the views of one of the nation's most beautiful campuses would be preserved.

Once he died they sold out so they could play a few meaningless Thursday night games on ESPN.

3. UNC Cheats and they are this bad?
Actually, I bet almost no team can stand up to scrutiny. especially the ones competing for the "mythical national championship". Taking away the championship from USC is a joke. Does anyone in their right mind think Texas is clean.
