and the comeback was tempered by an absolutely horrible outing by starter Randy Johnson . . . coming off two great performances, he totally stunk up the place . . .
Today on the radio they were talking about two Northern League (indpendent minors) teams that have a very strange promotion.
X-Box nite in which a fan from each team will be selected at random and play MLB 2005 (with customized teams reflecting the real ones) for 2 innings on the Jumbotron and then the real teams taking the field from the 3rd inning on.
crappy playing all night until Nomo got tired and poor Lou had exhausted what is left of his bullpin and had to use a pitcher who was 1-5 up til then. A pitcher who had absolutely no command over his pitching served up nothing but hittable pitches
If the Yanks continue to win the remaining games in this series against TB then it wasn't a fluke..but until then it was a fluke and it was all about the pitching
I guess we will have to wait and see if this a true comeback or just a fluke due to a sucky pitcher and an exhausted pitching staff
