Hincapie tells probe that Armstrong cheated
http://velonews.competitor.com/2011/05/news/hincapie-tells-probe-that-armstrong-cheated_174861

"George Hincapie has added his name to the list of ex-Lance Armstrong teammates who say they saw the embattled American cycling hero use performance-enhancing drugs, CBS News reported Friday.

The American news program “60 Minutes” reported that Armstrong’s former US Postal teammate Hincapie told US federal investigators that he witnessed the seven-time Tour de France winner using banned substances. The “60 Minutes” report comes one day after the network released video of another former US Postal member, Tyler Hamilton, claiming Armstrong cheated during his first Tour de France win in 1999.

The network is releasing excerpts of the show ahead of the airing of the full program on Sunday. “I saw it in his refrigerator,” Hamilton told the program. “I saw him inject it more than one time like we all did, like I did many, many times.”

The flood water keeps getting higher and higher for old Lance...

2. Huge. Nothing more.
Georgie's been with Lance for a long time. Again, Huckle, the point is how does the general public react. Most don't know shit about the sport.
They know Lance from his cancer benefits. I've been following cycling for 30 years (done many a century myself) and known all along all these guys doped. From the days of Anquetiel and Merckx. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if LeMond doped.

3. Hincapie has tweeted that he's not talked to CBS...
and the grand jury testimony was closed, so he has no idea where the quotes came from.
If it's true, and he admits having doped, what a blow. Hincapie is one of the most likable guys in the peloton, according to a few of my buddies who've raced alongside him.

None of us give a shit about Armstrong. Pompous douche.

4. No one said that he had talked to 60 Minutes.
Note that he also tweeted that he can't talk about it, once he realized where 60 Minutes got its information.

5. I could give a shit if he said it or didn't. They're all dopers.
I'm just saying the man said he didn't talk to CBS news (and I didn't say 60 minutes, you did), he told reporters he wouldn't comment yesterday at the Tour of California...and it seems as though whatever he did say was said to a closed grand jury, and then possibly leaked. So he admitted it, regardless.
I'll admit I was a little naive in my belief that there were some cyclists who didn't dope.

It's sad to think if I have a son or daughter, they'll never be an elite racer because they'll have to dope.

6. The point is that his saying he didn't talk to them was pointless.
No one ever said he had talked to them.

8. Unless someone comes forward with proof that Armstrong failed even one test
He has the market cornered on reasonable doubt.
