3. Look at the Pac-10
two teams in the top 6. Oregon #1, Stanford #6. The only other conference with that kind of ranking is the SEC with Auburn at #2 and LSU #5.

Actually, on a neutral field, I think Stanford could beat either LSU, TCU, or Boise. And even with their lofty ranking, Stanford might end up in some God forsaken place like the Alamo Bowl.

We're probably going to have with amounts to the conference champion of a mid- major, if not two of them, playing for the NC. What if somebody like Ball State goes undefeated next year..should they play for the NC too? I hate the BCS.

4. If Oregon goes to the BCS championship,
(and I think they will), the Rose Bowl gets it's pick of replacement teams. If they don't take Stanford (for the traditional Pac-10/Big-10 match up), you can blame them. As long as Stanford finishes in the top 14 on the BCS rankings, they'll be eligible.
