80!
But this one wasn't easy...they tried to give it away for a while...

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/17/sports/ncaabasketball/17uconn.html?_r=1&hpw

HARTFORD — So many games in Connecticut’s winning streak had been a breeze, all but one previous victory having come by 10 points or more. What would happen when the Huskies were truly challenged? If they got knocked down, could they get up?

A final shot by Baylor’s Odyssey Sims, who had 17 points, was short, as UConn, which rallied from a 56-48 deficit, held on to win.
The early evidence is encouraging as the top-ranked UConn women prevailed, 65-64, in a rousing victory Tuesday over second-ranked Baylor, extending their basketball winning streak to 80 games and suggesting that this current team has the familiar, enduring resolve of the Huskies’ champions of the past.

This was a spectacular game of punch and counterpunch that produced a frantic conclusion and the tantalizing possibility that the teams might meet again in the Final Four.

1. It bothered me the air ball didn't count as a shot clock violation
I was rooting for UConn but would of loved to see Baylor inbound and set their offense. They also did call their last timeout before UConn's last offensive possession. Though the air ball didn't hit rim and should of counted as a shot clock violation.

2. I saw it on ESPN earlier

but they are such UConn homers that they put on some analyst who while admitting it was a bad call, claimed Baylor missed too many FTs..what a dodge. Lost in all this 80 wins plateau BS is that Baylor was wrongly deprived by the officials of a real chance to win that game.

3. As usual Upton, a load of shit...that sort of call is really hard to make
at the end of a game and with so much going on...Mulkey blew it by using her last time out NEEDLESSLY right after UCONN's...if they meet in the Final Four, UCONN wins by 20...they'er young and can only get better. Britney The Thug Griner proved she doesn't have the nerve when things get tight.

4. With all the excuses you make for UConn..
you should go to work for ESPN. TOs, FTs, none of that other BS matters. Bottom line, was it a bad call or not?

If the situation has been reversed, and it was UConn who had been screwed over by the officials, depriving them of their final opportunity to tie or win the game, you'd be screaming bloody murder.

5. Get a grip...even if they had lost the game, you wouldn't give them credit for the
79...you're a UCONN hater for no reason whatsoever.

Did you see the game? Baylor couldn't hit the side of a barn at the end...there's no reason to assume they would have made a shot had they had few more seconds.

The blame is clearly at Mulkey for the bone-headed decision to use her time out unnecessarily instead of saving it for a final shot.

6. More excuses..
As I said, you should go to work for ESPN. And whether or not you think Baylor would have made their final shot is irrelevant. The point is, thanks to the officials screwing up, they were deprived of a decent opportunity..

Just answer me this, a simple yes or no, was it a bad call?

7. No, it wasn't a bad call because it's never called...
More hate, more stupidity.

8. Shot clock violations are never called?
yeah, okay..:eyes:

Btw, the Baylor coach didn't seem to agree with you in her postgame press conference. No problem though Joey, you can just write that off to her being full of hate and stupidity.

9. It was about possession as the shot clock went off...did Baylor have possession?
Hard to tell on the floor...on the replays, no, but Mulkey is a fool...face it, she was hoping that would happen and it was a stupid thing to hope for to happen...you go with what you can control...save your time outs.

I seem to recall your bitching about UCONN thomping Stanford last year, and both times you knew nothing about that...you claimed UCONN hurt their star player, but, since you knew nothing, you didn't know she had been hurt and was questionable prior to the game...she was limping the whole game, Appel was her name, but no, you had to blame that on UCONN and of course in your foolish mind, that was the only reason why they won.
