Cooling them off for the coming summer I hope, I really hope your bats cool down when we go to Boston for the next four games, anyhow rooting for you guys tonight even though I wish both could lose but because you entered the came further behind us out of first place, I am a red sox fan tonight but for the next week, youre gonna be on my hiss list, but good job anyhow, Mussina needs to be lit up. I dont want him having a better ERA or win-loss record than Bruce Chen :) and yeah I want the Yankees to lose too. Ramirez singled btw, and you guys are hitting him great and working him in to full counts. Thing thats surprising me is though, Jon Miller was saying that many of the sox dont have good lifetime records against him, and Papi was one of those and he has two homeruns tonight. Nixon doubles in a run, damn way Moose is playing, I dont think he'll get out of the inning.

9. Usually I find it annoying when people complain about overpaid athletes
but watching Boomer and Mussina going head to head makes me reconsider. If Mussina is worth $19 million, then Steinbrenner would do well to sign my 3 year old daughter to a contract for $200,000 a year.

10. Mussina is generally better than this
but yes I dont think hes worth 60% of the Devil Rays payroll and A-Rod, yeah hes having a great year but I dont think hes worth 25 million. I still think baseball would be best if they did what the NFL has done, you dont have teams like the Yankees who are full of stars often in the NFL and I honestly think that makes the NFL more exciting, just my opinion, though the past few years the Yankees formula hasnt worked for them, and hopefully it wont work this year either.

11. Boomer gets out of it
Edited on Sun May-29-05 08:27 PM by JohnKleeb
The most observable difference in the game for me is that Moose is averaging 27 pitches an inning and Boomer is average 11, more than 2.5 times as much, Well nm Moose got pulled out and Wang is doing long relief.

13. Dude that sounds dirty
Anyhow, I am gonna be hating you guys for the next four days starting tommorow but for now go Sox. They really got a chance to blow this open. Anyhow, I hope the Sox win tonight then cool down when they go home, but I doubt that will happen. Anyhow should be a great series in Boston this week.

16. Yeah, I have too much respect for the way the Os
have been playing this seadson to put too much into the fact that they got swept by the Tigers. I know what kind of team they have.
I was glad to see the Sox really tee off on Yankee pitching yesterday, they needed a break-open game to get out of the offensive slump they were in the last week or so. I hope they save some for Baltimore.

17. Yeah and you know I think in all the games we played against them
Edited on Sun May-29-05 08:44 PM by JohnKleeb
Could have gone either way. You guys are gonna be facing Lopez, Cabrera, Penn, and Ponson I believe. Did I mention how much I miss Erik Berdard. I hope we get some luck against you guys, the good news though is the bats are still good but the pitching hasnt been too great but Bruce Chen really is proving himself, and Ponson well hes making me wish they trade him, he only has a winning record because he gets so much support, meanwhile Bedard would have a below 2 ERA if the tigers hadnt beat him up early last month. It was our first three game losing streak the whole season, and I hope it stays a three game losing streak but we are gonna have to beat the Red Sox with our offense and pitching. BTW Boomer Wells is impressive tonight thus far, his pitch count is really low and thats a key to every game.

19. You know. . .
The thing is if they want positive thread about the Yankees.. it's quite easy.. they can just post a positive thread about the yankees. For some reason that seems like a simple solution.

No longer watching the game.. but I will say Ortiz two home run shots tonight were just examples of ass kickery :).
