Like the Yank's logo, it's simple and classy.

Probably jinxed us both...

The rodents up the road got a makeover once they moved from perennial doormat to sometime contenders:

15. Gotta love the logo for my University of Colorado Buffaloes:
Edited on Tue Jul-27-10 09:33 PM by JTG of the PRB

Plus I'm fond of the logo for the Denver Broncos, both modern:

and classic, which I can't find a good image of that isn't stealing broadband or code.

And I'm very fond of the logo for the Columbus Blue Jackets:

Edited because I thought all the images were legal, but apparently they weren't, even though I could still see them.

25. I agree. It really represents what they are....nothing. I've been saying for years they
should have done away with the name and colors when the Clowns left. They should have started over and gotten rid of all of their "history".

26. You, sir, are a NINCOMPOOP and a CHUCKLEHEAD!!!
The Browns embody all that is good and right about football and America.

No team anywhere in the world better symbolizes the existential angst of a city and nation like the Browns.

You are obviously one jealous man!

28. Yeah but considering their biggest star player was Jim Brown
Somehow that logo and name seems cosmically correct, even if it is esthetically friggin ugly.

29. The Browns were named after Paul Brown, the coach,
in 1945. I guess it's a happy coincidence that Jim Brown came along 12 years later.

From wiki:

The Browns are the only team in the NFL that does not have a logo on their helmets. However, the team has had various promotional logos throughout the years, such as the "Brownie Elf" mascot or a Brown "B" in a white football. While Art Modell did away with the Brownie Elf in the mid-1960s, believing it to be too childish, its use has been revived under the current ownership.

In 1965, NFL Creative Services designed a brown "CB" logo for the Browns' helmet. It was never used in any games.

Finally, the popularity of the Dawg Pound section at Cleveland Browns Stadium has led to a brown and orange dog being used for various Browns functions. But overall, the orange, logo-less helmet continues to remain as the primary trademark of the Cleveland Browns.

30. Oh yeah, I know. And his son Mike Brown owns the Bengals
I find that highly ironic too. "You don't live in Cleveland, you live in Cincinnati" is still a classic line in Ohio.....

33. Jealous of what? Decades of decline and despair? I live in Cleveland. This town got played
by the NFL and taken for suckers into buying a 400+ million dollar stadium for a man (Lerner) who helped the team move in the first place.

I think the people of Cleveland would have been better served if the Browns were allowed to take their name and "history" to Baltimore because 1) it would have erased The Drive, the Fumble, Red Right 88, etc. from our NEW team's history and collective city conscious of failure despair and 2) if you were a fan of the Browns (the name/team) you would have had a superbowl ring by now instead of the Ravens.

We could have had a fresh start which would have provided the fans at least a few more years of "hope"
versus the addition of another decade 1999-2009 of really, really, horrible football from a team with a horrible, horrible past.

You had who is considered the greatest NFL player ever in Jim Brown. The Browns have a very respectable history..an old history but there. My dad worships the Browns..so I know ALL about them.
