Florida Marlins: Unused perfect game tickets on sale
So you decided not to buy a ticket Saturday and missed Roy Halladay’s perfect game, the 20th in baseball history. Thanks to some outside-the-box thinking in the Marlins’ front office, you can still obtain proof that you were there!

The Marlins are selling tickets to Saturday’s game at the Sun Life Stadium box office and through Marlins.com. No discount prices just because you already know the outcome either. The Marlins figured they might sell a couple hundred. Theoretically, since 25,086 were on hand Saturday, they could disperse another 13,474 tickets. Baseball seating capacity at Sun Life Stadium is listed as 38,560.

Here’s the kicker. Since money from tickets sold has to be reported and is subject to Major League Baseball’s revenue sharing plan, the official attendance for Saturday’s game stands to increase.

1. Yeah I saw this.
I think its pretty classless. Easy money for Florida though. What I expect to see is these tickets being sold on Ebay as souvenirs and to me thats kind of hinky....

No--- a pathetic franchise is a franchise that keeps putting shit on the field year in, year out.

Win a fucking world series douche before you diss another franchise.

Oh and BTW: The pathetic franchise currently has more wins this season than yours.

5. What is even more pathetic is a franchise using an over-roided player to boost
their attendance figures. Absolutely pathetic.

6. Some are already going for $50 on eBay.
It's Halladay and history. Therefore, it's collectible to a great many. Not me, but to many.

12. Wow, with people losing their jobs and out begging on the street...
this is what some people want to spend their money on?? Just pathetic. I knew there were a lot of phonies out there but dang.. The classy move would be to donate the extra cash to charity. But that would be classy and the Marlins don't do classy.
