3. I would venture to say..
that most Americans dislike for the game is based in ignorance. It's the American way, if it wasn't started here, it's not understood, and therefore condemned.

I used to think that way, but now I truly have come to understand the "nuances of the game" and there's not a better sport on the planet.

4. I wouldn't call it the best sport on the planet, Upton.
College Football OWNS that title. But the World Cup. A unique spectacle. I've grown to love it.

but America won't bother learning about soccer until we win the World Cup. Then people will be interested.........
