Not sure if this is sports or political related.......actually both...
Pawlenty not headed to New Orleans for Vikings game

ST. PAUL, Minnesota (WXOW) - Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty says he's not going to New Orleans for Sunday's NFC championship game between the Vikings and Saints.

Pawlenty said Thursday he declined an offer from Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal to join him in a Superdome suite. Pawlenty said he would have paid his own way there and for admission to the stadium.

That's not keeping the two Republican governors from having some fun trading barbs over the game on their Facebook pages.

Pawlenty is asking visitors to his page if he should send lutefisk, Minnesota-made beer or SPAM to Jindal if the Vikings lose. Comments left on Jindal's page have suggested Pawlenty agree to be Jindal's running mate on a 2012 White House ticket if the Saints advance to the Super Bowl.

and this little ditty...... Prince pens tune about Minnesota Vikings

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Minnesota rocker Prince has recorded a purple-tinted tribute to the Vikings.

The "Purple Rain" songsmith tells KMSP-TV that he penned "Purple and Gold" after he saw the Vikings beat Dallas at the Metrodome last weekend. He says it was the first time he'd seen the team play in years, and says, "I saw the future."

The hymn-like song includes the lyrics, "raise every voice and let it b known/in the name of the purple and gold."

The Vikings take on the Saints in New Orleans this Sunday in the NFC Championship game.

1. He's probably afraid he'd be booed by the Vikings fans
He is not terribly popular in his home state. Oh and he's trying to look good for a possible presidential bid. What a jackass...

12. New York(I believe) refers to metropolitan New York City
because East Rutherford is a neighboring city much like it's Dallas Cowboys instead of Arlington Cowboys.
