J-E-T-S Jets! Jets! Jets!
Man, I want this one BAD.
It meets all of my high anxiety criteria playoff shit.

A:) I got money on this game.
B:) I am a Broncos Fan and I hate Rivers.
C:) Sandy Eggo Blows.

I don't think the Jets are backing down.

9. Their kicker
was the biggest choker of all. He is a pro-bowler, made 36 straight from inside 40. But today missed 2 from inside 40.

J-E-T-S are on the verge of being a G-R-E-A-T D-E-F-E-N-S-E

What is up with Kaeding? He must have aerophobia, the way he keeps PANICKING every time there's a JET nearby.

8. The talking heads on WFAN yesterday
said that the Jets are not a great defense. What isn't being the number 1 defense overall and number 1 against the run, fewest points allowed good enough for you.

Now they can eat their words!

13. That was ignorant for them to say that
In 16 games the Jets defense held opponents to 5.4 yards per pass attempt. #1 in the league and .6 higher than #2 in pass defense. That is an incredible statistic. To put it in context the Steelers lead the league last year in defensive YPA with 5.4.

16. The Jets have an opportunity to make Francessa eat some MAJOR LEAGUE crow..
He absolutely TRASHED Rex Ryan, basically told him to STFU---REPEATEDLY--- after the Jets "beat" the Colts and Ryan was pissed that no one in the media gave them any credit for it because of the players they rested. Francessa basically said that had Manning stayed in the game, they'd score at will against the Jets.

It's gonna be a FUN listen on FAN from 1-6:30 this week, to say the least. I haven't watched Mike'd up on Sunday night lately, but tonight I won't miss it. He'll either do some big-time backpedalling, or stand firmly and say the Jets have NO SHOT at beating the Colts.

Nate Kaeding, the Charger kicker, also was a Hawkeye.

18. I think ol' Nato has a little problem when the stakes get high, Upton.
Unless he makes one in a clutch situation, he'll be giving that monkey a ride for a long time.

21. Apparently so
though to be fair, the Charger's loss was much more than Kaeding's fault...the entire team played a sloppy undisciplined game.

27. But he gets the serious horns, Upton.
He's going to the Pro Bowl. He missed those kicks badly. No excuse. Different game if he makes just one of them.

30. He did make a long one to beat the Bengals in the closing seconds
It wasn't a playoff game but it was very important in terms of getting the #2 seed and first round bye.

31. Big deal....
Keading missed a game winner in 2005 that cost San Diego a Wild Card victory against the Jets. Now in 2010, Kaeding misses 3 FGs (2 inside 40) against the same Jets, basically giving the game away..

The guy's a choker...comes up big during the regular season, but he's just not the same kicker during the playoffs.

32. I was just addressing this statement
"Unless he makes one in a clutch situation..."

The stakes are not as high but I consider nailing a 52 yarder to win the game with 3 seconds left a "clutch situation" even though the stakes may not be as high as a playoff game.

still the only QB of the big three from the 04 draft not to win a Super Bowl. Sucks for him.

God damn guarantee you the Jets give the Colts ALL they can handle. With that Pass D it wouldn't surprise me one bit if they upset 'em.

26. Yes, but this time they'll have to play the Dolts' first-stringers.
Instead of a 13-3 team, I'm now stuck with a 9-7 one that needed to win out just to get in the playoffs, or else yet another Super Bowl is ruined.

28. It was a close game when they took Manning out
So it's up in the air whether or not who would have won. We find out next week.

The two things that win games is run the ball well and play defense is which is what the Jets are the best at. I feel this is a much harder matchup for them than the Chargers would have been.

Even with 8 punts, and 5 three and outs, they came out ahead. I simply ask you keep it up next week.

I thought the comments about Woodson not deserving to win the Defensive POY were classless, but I really, really hate Rivers.

I am hoping for a Vikings/Jets Superbowl.
