The AL East is shaping up to be a REALLY interesting division so far. The Sox look strong, Toronto looks strong, Baltimore looks really strong, and the sleeping giant Yankees aren't going to keep sliding like this for much longer.

as he was in the early innings of his last start, but this time the Sox are teeing off on some weak Jays pitching and scoring runs.

The AL East is probably the most interesting division right now; Baltimore is a pleasant and overdue surprise---I hope they keep it up.

As for the Yankees, I think they have tasted their own mortality. Don't get me wrong, they're not going to stay a .333 ball club all season, but when I look at them I think of Wile E. Coyote.
After he chases the roadrunner off the edge of the cliff he doesn't fall until he realizes that he CAN fall. Until he sees that there is nothing underneath him, he is held aloft by his own smug ignorance of his precarious situation.
I think the Yankees have finally looked down and seen that they CAN fall. They've discovered that there's nothing underneath them but the floor of the canyon, and it's a long way down. :)

Yeah, I dont think the Yankees are gonna keep on sliding for long, but I love to be proven wrong, everything is easier to accomplish without them in the picture.
