3. The refs didn't do a very good job with some obvious facemask calls there.

13. Glad someone else recognizes it.
Even in a slow motion replay not a word from the moron Joe Buck or Troy Aikman about the blatant sustained facemask grab by the Cardinals defender. Pathetic.

26. Buck and Aikman seemed to be almost openly rooting for Arizona
That game pissed me off because the whole weekend was a sports nightmare, aside from the Red Wings' win. I was hoping Green Bay would come through.

21. It All Comes Out In The Wash.
Edited on Sun Jan-10-10 09:35 PM by jayfish
There were more than a few garbage calls that went against the Cards. The first horse collar call that kept a Green Bay drive alive. A ticky tack interference call in the end zone that gave GB a 1st and goal. A late interference call (inside five yards) that kept the game tying drive alive. The game shouldn't have been that close anyway. Hats off to Aaron Rodgers though for a stupendous playoff debut.

25. The first of those pass interference calls was hardly ticky tacky.
The Cardinals also got away with murder on offensive pass interference when Larry Fitzgerald pushed Charles Woodson down before catching that touchdown. I don't think that penalties "all come out in the wash". I've seen more than a few games where the ref crews seem to not call certain kinds of penalties whether it is offensive pass interference, face masking, helmet to helmet, etc.

The game was going to be close simply because when the Packers offense isn't dicking around it can score a lot of points in a hurry, just like the Cardinals. The second half merely reflected this.

20. Good to see you.
Love the Pack.

You have many years of playoff football to look forward to.

Can't say the same for my Bears though.

Also, I just cannot get excited about the Vikings.

6. Finally a good playoff game. The 3 others sucked IMHO.
I'm speaking in terms of entertainment value, BTW.

7. that was an exciting game
Congrats to the Cardinals. But they'd better learn to play defense or the Saints could score 70 on them next week :)

9. That box score is unreal.
Total yards: 531 - 493.
Yards per pass: 11.4 - 9.6
Rushing: 156 - 90
Time of Possession: 31.27 - 29.51

Quarterback Rating: 154.1 (Warner) - 121.3 (Rodgers)

Defensive stats weren't that great, maybe.

What a game!

When we were 4-4 I never thought we'd get this far.

Now go beat the snot out of the Saints.

23. No one wants to give any props to Kurt Warner?
I know he is pretty much hated here, but what does a guy gotta do to get a mention? 5 touchdowns and 151 QBR not enough? I know, another great playoff game by Kurt Warner what else is new?

24. Props to Warner
So what if he's a religious guy? He is also a very good qb and he couldn't miss yesterday. Congrats to Warner and the Cardinals.
