The Sun Bowl is meeting its expectations. Great game!
But I am so sick of hearing "Boomer Sooner" I could puke. Do they have to play it every down?

Also I no longer feel sorry for OU's continuing injuries. A lineman had a nasty broken leg. I think they are stupidly injury prone.

And the coverage is great with the Met Life blimp and all - except for the video cut outs from CBS.

Go Stanford!

1. Stanford played like crap in the second half
I'd say it would be better if they had Andrew Luck but Oklahoma doesn't have Sam Bradford either. So no excuses but I think Landry Jones is a better QB than Pritchard.

2. Whole different game with Luck
Jones has played most of the year, Pritchard had thrown 3 passes all season.

4. When they took the pins out of his finger, it was still bad.
Too bad.

3. Shit. OU won.
I guess they just wore Stanford down.

But a good game anyway.

5. The presence of a certain Stanford professor must have jinxed them.

8. I used to have to work on New Year's Eve and never got to see it.
This has been one of my favorite bowls. But it is always been carried by CBS at noon.

The second oldest bowl in its 76th year.

7. pretty exciting game
Although the score was closer than it probably should have been. Stanford did a good job of capitalizing on their opportunities--they scored a TD on a 14-yard drive after an interception and got field goals off the blocked punt and the muff, so when they had their chances they made good use of them. But other than two long drives in the second quarter, they didn't move the ball at all, and OU held them to under 100 yards in the second half.

It was an exciting game, though, and Stanford had a good year. :toast:

11. You're sick of hearing it??
They stole it from Yale's "Boola Boola".

So I have to hear it over and over again while they're sticking it to the one Bay Area team that had a chance not to FAIL.
