Half puts in for a pct. Since 15 was an odd number I went with the lower half which is 7. Half will be 8 next week so get your picks in joey.

I'm weary of a problem. Auggie and Condem have made 212 picks while me and Forkboy made 211 picks. What I mean is if Auggie and Forkboy are tied with wins at the end of the season then that means Forkboy wins because of having fewer losses(by 1| means a higher pct. Any suggestions on what to do or just don't worry about it?

If it comes to down to plus or minus one in the totals I'd consider it a tie.

Should we think about the playoffs? Spreads plus over & under? Or will we have had enough after 17 weeks? Please weigh in...

Thanks JonLP24.

8. Go the distance, Auggie.
If we end in February there will only be a month to the NCAA B-Ball tourney. In the bleak winter, it's a ray of sunshine to look forward to.

9. I'm ok with playoffs if you decide to do so
Not sure if there should be a regular season winner and start fresh in the playoffs, or continue to go all the way with the totals we have now.

12 points is an awful lot to give up..even to the Lions.

14. This late in the season it's a lot
for two teams out of contention. I wonder if Raye and Singletary will revitalize the power running game to give it another look? Even though Gore will probably rush for 1000 yards this season he hasn't been the same since Larry Allen was blocking for him a few years back. They need better guards. And another tackle. These last two games might just help the team decide who stays and who goes.

20. Means there's no official spread
Cleveland opened as slight favorites but Oakland had some questions as to what quarterback will start (could have been Russell, will be Frye) at the time I started the thread. Frye has an odd history with the Browns. He was named starter for the 2007 season but traded to Seattle right at the beginning of the season. He's from the Cleveland area -- even played for Akron -- so it's a homecoming for him. He'll be playing in front of an old coach, no less -- Mike Holmgren -- and will be trying to impress, I imagine.

At even odds this will still be a tough pick. Both teams have shown improvement and players will be playing to keep their jobs.

brendan12O678!!!! :applause: :toast:

I know you usually do this but I thought I could help you out if you don't mind. :)

Condem was the only one that didn't bet on an OFF but I have a suggestion. If you count everyone else OFF picks then that means Forkboy, Condem, and Me picked an equal amount of games and perhaps we could have you sit out on 1 off pick next week and leave it as a pick 'em for everyone else so us 4 could be tied and the percentage is equal for us 4 to prevent a weird tie. Totally up to you :)

29. Thank you JonLP24
Edited on Tue Dec-29-09 04:36 AM by Auggie
Mrs. Auggie had a big birthday Monday -- posting the winner immediately after the game was an impossibility.

My intention was never to police this thing to have clear winners or losers at the end of the season. IMO the real winners are those that find fun discussing and picking against the spreads and who participate in this weird community known as the D.U. Sports Forum.

I suggest to let it be. We're all aware that the win/loss percentages will not be completely equitable. But heck, that's the way life works out sometimes. And we'll still have your overall won/loss totals to compare to.

Speaking of which, please amend your own totals this week to 7 wins, 8 losses -- Cleveland covered against Oakland.
