1. San Francisco has Seattle next week

On paper they should win that game. Arizona has Minnesota next week and Warner should be avaliable for that game but I don't think the corners(besides Cromartie) can stop Farve and if San Francisco wins and Arizona lose the Cards will be at 7-5 and SF will be at 6-6 for the Monday Night Matchup against San Francisco. SF already has the tiebreaker so SF could be in the drivers seat before we know it.

According to Advanced NFL Stats of all the Cardinals games that game was more exciting then the Super Bowl which was the #2 most exciting game the Cardinals played.

2. Can we just say they beat Jacksonville?

Hardly a thrashing -- Garrard passed for 307 yards (another big day for an opposing QB). The only reason the Jags lost by 17 is because Garrard coughed the ball up twice in the red zone and Scobee missed two FGs. It was a lot closer game than it looked.

I was encouraged to see aggressive S.F. defensive play late in the fourth quarter. And I was happy to see the 49ers employing the spread offense early on. Finally on both counts.

Yeah -- that December 14th game might really mean something now.
