The only player on the 50 years all-NFL team not in the hall. But they have Terrell Davis and Steve Tasker on the list? Fuck that shit. Tasker was special, but, uh uh, I don't think he needs to be on this list.

Terrel Davis? Shit, he barely played 4 years in the NFL. Fuck that shit too.

Oh well, it's not like it matters what I think. Just felt like bitchin'.

1. That is indeed a travesty

Not only was Kramer voted the greatest guard in the first 50 years of the NFL, he also was instrumental in one of the NFL's greatest plays (in the Ice Bowl).

I have a friend who spoke with Kramer a few years ago about this. Apparently, he's resigned to the fact that he'll never get in.

2. He has to be nominated by the Senior Committee now

I could be wrong, but I think the list that just came out (the semifinalist list) is only open to players whose career ended within the last 25 years. Players who retired more than 25 years ago have to be nominated by the Senior Committee. So it may well be that he gets screwed again, but we won't know until they announce their candidates, which doesn't happen until the semifinalists are whittled down to the 15 finalists.

On edit: It's late and I guess I'm a bit dense -- the senior committee nominees were announced earlier this year: Floyd Little and Dick LeBeau ...
