1. Same could be said for Tulo who finished 5th

It was Hawpe that got selected for the All-Star game.

Anyways congrats to candidates, they all had a great year. :toast:

2. Youkalis was 5th in AL...not an All-Star starter...
...that's the way it goes.

3. At least he was on the team
Pablo, despite having some of the best stats in baseball, was deemed not worthy by the East Coast biased fans, Charlie Manuel, and some highly suspicious results in the voting for the final spot.

4. Rofl!
Yeah those powerhouse Nats biased everyone with their stellar play and since they were on national TV all the time... it's hard making a case for bias when the team you accuse of biased was NEVER on national TV

8. Umm usually MVP's are on winning teams
Panda was REALLY helpful in that playoff run for the Giants! Oh wait... Dude MVP and All Star appearances are totally different things.

9. Still...you would think
that the best all around third baseman in the NL would be able to garner more than 2 lousy points in the MVP voting..

Maybe the baseball writers know something, because they sure are saying... 'I don't believe in Zimmerman'

11. Umm no.
They are saying the Nats suck! Considering the amount of post season awards Zimmerman's won, I don't think anyone's saying that. Of course Gold Gloves and Silver Slugger awards mean you suck... Yeah that's it!

13. This is rich
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA

Pablo Sandoval, the fat fucker with too many chins from Frisco, has never won a gold glove or a silver slugger, and Upton is pissed cause he finished 7th in the MVP voting. I would argue that it's a crime that he finished that high. The guy can't draw a walk or swipe a bag and Upton thinks he should get more MVP votes.

14. Not for the first time
you're completely confused. I'm not pissed at Pablo's 7th place finish, I think it's a great achievement for a guy playing his first full year in MLB. What I'm doing is making the solid case that if the Panda finished 7th in the MVP voting then he certainly should have been an All Star. In other words, this voting confirms that I was right all along, like usual.

Hey, I didn't notice Little Davey in the top 30. In fact, I didn't see any Mets at all. What a contrast that is to the Giants placing 3 of their players on the list.

12. Apparently the Giants are moving the leagues best 3rd baseman
Edited on Tue Nov-24-09 09:17 PM by Kingofalldems
to 1st base. How odd. Are they biased too? On the other hand, Zimmerman will be at 3rd for oh, his entire career.

15. Whether or not
Pablo moves to first sometime in the future is irrelevant. Right now, he's still a third baseman....and in the baseball writers MVP voting, they are sending the message that the Panda was the best at his position in 2009.

16. Man, you're doing more tap dancing than Richard Gere in Chicago
Two Dodgers in the top ten in voting and Ethier gets more votes than Pablo. As it should be. You're on a roll, dude! Your threads are getting douchier by the day.

17. Does Ethier play third base?
No?...case closed.

Where's Casey Blake?...I can't seem to find his name..

The baseball writers are saying.. In 2009, Pablo was the best at his position in the league

case closed again...

18. It wasn't the most valuable third baseman award
You are such a dumbass. Ryan Zimmerman was chosen for the gold glove at third, NOT the human panda bear. i.e. Zimmerman was the best at his position. MVP is all about offense. That's why they have a separate award for defense, the gold glove. Do I really have to explain this to you? Really? Are you that stupid? The Dodgers won two gold gloves this year. How many did the small men win? I'm waiting....
