(Notre Dame QB)Jimmy Clausen reportedly punched by angry fan

Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen was punched in the face by an angry fan outside a South Bend restaurant, according to two online reports.

ESPN.com, citing "a person briefed on the incident," reports Clausen was "sucker-punched" Sunday morning and has a swollen eye. He is not expected to miss any time because of the injury. The Chicago Tribune reports on its Web site that no police report has been filed.

Clausen reportedly was out with family members and teammates after Notre Dame's Senior Day loss to Connecticut on Saturday. The fan who punched Clausen allegedly said something to Clausen and/or a female acquantaince of his before throwing the punch.

Without him(and Golden Tate), ND would probably be 2-9. They simply don't have any defense.
