Methinks it comes down to us and Penn St. I'm hoping our head-to-head beat down and their convincing loss to OSU is enough to sway the BCS. I'm betting it is.
been a Razorback Fan for 40+ years and don't consider LSU a rivalry game. The "Boot" was concocted by the SEC to attempt to create a rivalry which has yet to materialize. Although I would contend that the "Boot" is probably the ugliest "rivalry" trophy going, and going out on a limb I'll say the Boot will head to Fayetteville next Saturday night. I don't believe LSU can outscore the Hogs. The downside, a night game in Red Stick.
My Friend, you are too kind for this forum of animals. Actually, per the conference LSU is the Hogs Rival. I still have the good ole days of the SWC as a reference point.
May you always have fair winds and following seas.
does not have a big rival (anymore.) It used to be Texas in the good ole days of the SWC where every team in Texas was a criminal(republican) element. Arkansas was the only SWC team not in Texas and did quite well with limited resources and recruiting. The SEC is trying to make a "rivalry" of Arkansas and LSU but I have yet to get the anticipated warm and fuzzy.
But to my point. Does not a "rivalry" game pale when the rival is in shambles ala Michigan? If the Wolverines had won that would be a different story.
Any why doesn't the Big Ten have a championship game?
Once again this year there most likely will be only ONE SEC TEAM in the National Championship Game because that conference has a game to determine the conference champion ergo knocking out the second best team in the country.
Pardon my rambling, I just woke up from a nice nap.
15. I've been to Army-Navy games where the heavy underdog has won, BOSS.
Throw out the records. It's a different mindset. You're arguing against yourself. Until there's a playoff this talk is pure speculaton. What if Texas kicks the winner of the SEC's ass in the NC game?
even if they both lose next week, whoever wins the SEC championship will get in over the other undefeateds. Texas will probably have to lose to both Nebraska and the Big 12 championship to even give one of these other two teams a chance.
