Pac-10 Race
Any thoughts? If Oregon and Oregon State win on Saturday, then the Civil War decides who is going to be in the Rose Bowl. If Arizona wins out, they are in. If Oregon wins out, they're in. Stanford has a long shot and USC needs OSU to lose against WSU to even have a prayer.

I'm going to say that the Beavers will be your Pac-10 Champs.

1. I say Oregon State
They should be able to beat Washington State. I'll go ahead and predict they beat Oregon. Say Oregon beats to Arizona they'll both be 7-2(conference play).

I think Stanford will beat California to go 7-2 and under this scenario Oregon State would be champs because they have head-to-head victories over Stanford and Oregon.

2. it's crazy

If Oregon and Stanford win out Stanford will go since they beat Oregon
However, I think that wacky things will happen as usual and there is a good chance Oregon State will go. But right now it is totally unpredictable.

4. Oregon has 1 Conference loss(Stanford)
Edited on Sun Nov-15-09 09:40 PM by JonLP24
While Stanford has 2(Arizona, Oregon State)

What Stanford needs is to beat California then

Needs Oregon to lose to Arizona and beat Oregon State while you need Arizona State or USC to beat Arizona for tie breaking purposes.

Or Oregon State losing to Washington State and beat Oregon with the Ducks beat Arizona giving them 3 losses.

6. I can see several scenarios happening
Basically it's this simple

Stanford(6-2) needs to beat California and they need Oregon(6-1), Oregon State(5-2), and Arizona(4-2) to lose at least 1 game.

Remaining schedule for each team.

Oregon(Arizona, Oregon State)
Oregon State(Washington State, Oregon)
Arizona(Oregon, Arizona State, USC)

7. How about a 6 way tie?
Oregon loses to Arizona and Oregon State.

USC beats UCLA and Arizona.

Cal beats Stanford and Washington.

Arizona beats ASU, loses to USC.

Oregon State loses to WSU but beats Oregon.

You will then have 6 teams with a 6-3 conference record.

8. NOT POSSIBLE! NOT POSSIBLE!
Time and space would collapse if a Beaver team good enough to beat Oregon lost the previous game to WSU.

Besides, Cal is going to get the ball stuffed down their throats by Stanford. (if they stay healthy)

9. I will be the most depressed person if we could beat Oregon but not Wazzu
I'm getting all excited about the prospect of a Civil War deciding the Pac-10's entrant into the Rose Bowl.

Fuck the ducks.

11. Arizona has 3 conference games left?
Oregon, USC, Arizona State?

That doesn't seem right.

14. It will be the same amount of Conference games every team has played
Arizona had a bye week somewhere while everyone else was playing a Conference game.

10. I love watching the Civil War game, and I am not even a fan of the PAC-10.
Those kids put it all on the field for that game, less so for the Apple Cup.
