5. Why the Derek Jeter hate? The guy is a class act on and off the field. Even opposing players

like him. Just watch him when he is on base or other players are on second base when he is on the field. They are always chatting him up.

You may not like the Yankees, but what is there not to like about Jeter, Pettite, Posada, and Rivera? They all came up through the Yankee farm system and have concentrated on playing good baseball year in and year out for an owner and in a city where that is not an easy thing to do.

I am 58 years old and don't give a crap, Dude. I have been dealing with Yankee haters all of my life - even before Steinbrenner there were Yankee haters believe it or not. It is called envy. Today the Yankee haters justify the hatred by claiming it has to do with the Yankees "buying championships" etc. But imo it is still the same old fashioned envy. The fact that the Yankee hate is now in a sports forum doesn't make it any more formidable.

Go to any stadium where the Yankees are visiting and all the local Yankee fans show up like vermin and they are the worst winners on the planet. They are always rubbing it in and putting their fingers in your face, looking for fights. Loudmouth jerks, the lot of them.
