2. So, I looked at TCU's schedule...and am I blind? Am I missing the highly ranked
team they beat, or, even the ranked team they might have beaten at some point to justify this ranking? Ridiculous. And don't say BYU! I mean a REAL team!

3. I must remind you that TCU has...
2 National Championships and
14 Conference Championships

They also are 11-13-1 in bowl games

14. Aw, I get it reputation...nothing to do with how this year is going...
...so they're the SEC of Texas, they can lose twice and still win it all????

17. Well, they have outscored their opponents...
337 to 101. 178 to 25 in the last 4 games.

Let me tell you that if TCU goes undefeated and two of the other three top ranked teams get a loss (one is guaranteed to) and TCU is not in the BCS championship, you will hear a rant from me that will be heard on all the internets.

BTW, #16 Utah is next. A tough game. At least it's in Ft. Worth.

18. There are so many undefeateds this year, no way can a 1-loss team
play in the BCS game...even an SEC team.

5. Well Pittsburgh, Houston, and Utah have fewer losses
Edited on Mon Nov-09-09 12:40 AM by JonLP24
Other then that everyone below them has two(Iowa is in the top 10).

Damn Sun Devils were close to beating USC. They outplayed them completely but Danny Sullivan(who was benched at halftime for a true freshman) threw a pick 6 shortly before halftime which was the difference in the game and USC ended up winning 14-9

6. Yep, its going to be
interesting how this shakes up in the upcoming month. I'm just surprised(well not really surprised) that LSU/USC are in the top ten with two losses, especially USC, I mean...the lost to a pretty weak Washington team, and got crushed by Oregon a week ago, yet there USC sits.

LSU I can sorta understand because the lost respectively to number 1, and 3, but I'd put them just outside of the top 10, around 11 or so, and I'd put USC at 18 or 20.

7. Who else would you put there besides a team with two losses?
I guess you mean either Pittsburgh, Houston, or Utah? Otherwise it would have to be a two loss team. I would move Iowa ahead of USC and LSU based on losses but strength of schedule hurts Pittsburgh, Houston, and Utah.

9. I don't agree with you about Houston, the beat Texas Tech, and
OK ST, which UT puts a lot of "claim" on with their victories over the same team. Granted Houston lost but USC lost to a chump team(Washington), and got destroyed by Oregon. I honestly think USC shouldn't be up there, I can sorta understand LSU because of their respective losses to number 1, and 3.

10. No argument here really
Based on the formula that ranks SOS Houston is not very high. Same with Texas where their strength of schedule doesn't stack up well against the top 10 but other factors help them including not losing. I was basing my post on that and not my personal opinion. Tips for Houston, win out. The Conference USA has a conference championship game so that should help a little if they win. Tips for Pittsburgh, beat Notre Dame, West Virginia, and Cincinnati(I'm rooting for Bearcats), tips for Utah win out including beating TCU(who they play this weekend) and BYU. If those three teams follow my advice they make a stong case and probably make the top 10 at the end of the season.

11. Its been an interesing year so far
there hasn't been much mixing in the top three for a while, but outside the top three its a jumble, with teams swapping every week.

Now since OU is outta of the picture(sorry FW) I gotta harp on other teams....

12. you're a Mizzou fan...
of course you should harp on OU. We only throttled you last year. Oh, and the year before that. Oh wait, AND the year before that.

And we'd probably beat you this year, despite our recent suckage.

21. I'm not a fan of any team
I hate the BCS, and I don't have a favorite team, honestly, I don't...

My dislike of OU started when I was going to college up in KS, when all I heard all day was "OU is god" from tons of fans.

I don't have a fave team, except the ones that beat OU.

If FBS had a playoff, I'd actually choose a team. :)

13. It only took 4 losses to finally knock OU out of the top 25, 3 for ND.

15. Time to kick Charlie Weiss out of ND
ND should only have maybe 1 or at the most 2 losses right now. Never should've lost to Navy, should've beaten Michigan.

...they will lose to Pitt next week also.

19. How can USC possibly be ranked above Oregon?
Both have identical records (7-2)

UO lost both games to ranked opponents (BSU ranked higher)
USC lost to the Fuskies and were CRUSHED by the Ducks

SOS on Sagarin has Oregon and #6 and USC at #7

So what twisted shred of logic puts USC 4 places ahead of Oregon, other than some unwritten rule that says, "USC shall win the Pac-10"??

20. Good point
Losing later hurts more than those teams that lose earlier but those loses are only week apart. USC has Stanford this week and I predict a Stanford win. Andrew Luck is the best QB in the Pac 10 and Toby Gerhart is the best running back in the Pac 10.
