10. Why hate these players? For the Record...
Across five days during July 2009, Manager Joe Girardi and all 25 of his players divided into groups and took part in five Hope Week events. They interacted with a terminally ill man, with a married couple who are mentors to dozens of children, with children whose disease prevents them being in the sunlight, with a Little Leaguer whose cerebral palsy has confined him to a wheelchair, and with two developmentally challenged workers from a law firm’s mailroom. - New York Times 7/15/09

Individually:

Derek Jeter - 2009 Roberto Clemente Award winner for community service.

Johnny Damon - Active in the Wounded Warrior Project - aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women.

Robinson Cano - Nominated for 2006 Roberto Clemente Award for work with sick childen.

Mark Teixeira - Mark Teixeira Charitable Fund that supported scholarships at three high schools in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Alex Rodriguez - Children's Aid Society, "Strikeouts for Troops", AROD Family Foundation

Jorge Posada - The Jorge Posada Foundation for Craniosynostosis

Mariano Rivera - Casita Maria Charity

Joe Girardi - Alzheimer's Research, helped injured motorist

Nick Swisher - "Swish's Wishes" - Providing care & support to sick children

CC Sabathia - "PitCCh In" Foundation (Toys for Tots, Boys & Girls Clubs, etc.)

Andy Pettitte - Charity Golf Events

And so on...

16. Your point being??
Perhaps you're not aware, but almost every top-tier professional athlete has their own charitable organization these days.

17. Point being that many players on all teams are decent human beings...
The league nut-jobs are the exception. People who don't understand what sportsmanship is about have likely never played organized sports. Sure, you can root against a particular team, but to take it to the extreme of hating all individuals involved with an organization is neurotic.
