1. Hey Big Ten Fans
I'm not a proponent of the BCS, but wouldn't it aid and abet your conference (if the BCS continues as the garbage program it is) to have a conference championship.

22. Big 12 is already taken, so we would need like 3 more teams...

4. No, they can't
you clearly haven't watched them play, except to beat up on Missou last night. Their offense played like a bunch of slugs last week, as did OUr offense.
I'm counting to the days until they get pummeled by OSU on Halloween.
I would love for Florida to lose to anybody (even Texas)...but if Texas plays Bama, Roll Tide Roll (and I hate the SEC).

9. Baloney..
You have nothing to go on.....Boise has played only 1 team currently ranked (Oregon) and that was at the beginning of the season at home, everyone else on their schedule has been cupcake city. Same thing with Cincy, only they've played absolutely nobody currently ranked.

Your SEC hate is getting the best of your common sense.

10. I wouldn't be so quick to say that
Everyone was predicting that Oklahoma (Big 12 Champion at the time) would wipe the floor with Boise St. Well they lost and they had Adrian Peterson on their team.

Same thing with Utah last year. The beat Alabama who was ranked #1 for a long time.

Also that one 1 ranked team, only has 1 loss and they have looked impressive destroying California, Washington, and so forth. Hell Utah gave them their second toughest game. Tulsa could very well be Conference USA Champs but then again maybe not. Also Fresno State is no pushover that got served up with a tough early schedule with a lot of miles to travel with games @Wisconsin and @Cincinnati and since their loss to Boise they haven't lost another game--all 3 of those were close games. Plus all three of those teams are ranked

Plus Cincinnati beat Oregon State on the road and say what you want about them but they're no cupcake team. USC beat them just by 6 at home. 1

14. I don't care what happened
in some bowl game last year or a couple years ago. Facts is, teams like Boise and Cincinnati would be unable to win week in and week out in an elite conference like the SEC, such as Florida and Alabama do. And if you want to get into comparing games against common opponents, Boise struggled to beat Tulsa 28-21 the same team the now unranked Oklahoma destroyed 45-0.

If teams like BSU and Cincinnati want to be considered equal to the big boys, let them play a REAL schedule. Defeating cupcakes does nothing for their reps, as evidenced that both teams dropped 3 places this past week.

15. I used past bowl games as an example
For those that were stating that those teams couldn't beat them but they did and Utah and Boise St those years finished as the only unbeaten team. Now I showed you some teams that they beat and how could you knock Oregon as whatever -- they might be Pac-10 Champs for crying out loud.

The teams Boise St and Cincinnati scheduled tough non-conference opponents so you can't blame them for playing "cupcakes".

As far as your predictions about how they would play we just don't know. I also don't trust your predictions given how you said Arizona State would get smoked in Athens even when I told you otherwise from the outset. :eyes:

21. Cincinnati put up 41 points with their back up QB
I bet they could beat a hell of a lot of teams. They are certainly better than Ohio State. They probably would give Alabama a tough game. Whats more impressive..squeeking out wins agaisnt inconsistent mediocre Big Names..or consistently beating down ALL your opponents...hmmmm

11. Yeah, right...
...weakness of schedule is subjective...there's really only FL and alabama that are good in the SEC this year, and they're having trouble with bad teams...all reputation...let's hope either FL or Alabama gets to play one of these cupcakes...you'll be eating your words, cboyupton.

13. I don't understand his defense of Alabama
Edited on Mon Oct-26-09 10:58 AM by JonLP24
They nearly lost to Tennessee at home. The same Tennessee team that lost to a Pac-10 bottom feeder (UCLA) at Knoxville.

If Tennessee can beat Alabama and they showed that they can than it's very possible Cincinnati and very well Boise State can.

Fresno State and Tulsa is possible if they both win out. Also Idaho is 6-2.

20. I give you Idaho
Not Fresno State. They took Wisconsin to overtime on the road, lost to Cincinnati on the road by 8. Lost to Boise St of course but those are their only 3 losses. I can't blame Boise St for their schedule--they do play in the WAC so they have to play WAC teams. They could have scheduled non-conference opponents such as Charleston-Southern, Troy, and Florida International(like Florida) but they didn't. They put Oregon on there(twice--at Autzen last year) and beat them.

23. Very cupcake, so I argue for my Hawks
2 top 20 wins, including Penn State who will be ranked in the top 10 by the end of this year, with a chance for a least a 3rd by the end of this year. No way Texas has more then 1 ranked victory by years end, either Oklahoma or Oklahoma State (who have to play each other and Oklahoma State (the currently ranked one) has to play Texas preventing them both from being ranked) and its possible neither is ranked... 45h hardest schedule in the nation compared to the 35th hardest schedule (changed this weekend you know), Big 12 isn't what it once was, not by a long shot.

6. First off, Bama is the best team in college right now (and I hate the SEC). Second, they
have the "mojo" working for them right now. They should have lost against the Vols and the football gods gave them that one. Those BCS championship teams also usually get the lucky bounces sometime during the season.

As for who they will play....?????? Good luck trying to pick that one.
