and the Rams were a local team. Now, I find myself pulling for the Niners more often that not - possibly because I think Mike Singletary looks like Charlie Brown, and that makes me want him to do well...

If the 49ers didn't play in the NFC West I would be rooting for them to do well. Though I have became a fan of Singletary and enjoy what he brings to the game. Not to mention he is transformed the way the 49ers advertise. They use his quotes from press conferences.
