4. Third actually. This is......this is just too sad
The heart of a lion. Hmmmm, maybe he'll go to the Lions.

Or maybe he'll just start coaching.

As crushed as I feel, I can't imagine what he's going through.

5. Miami Dolphins' Chad Pennington will miss season with a shoulder injury
<snip>

"A worst-case scenario has unfolded for Dolphins quarterback Chad Pennington. According to an ESPN report, MRI results indicated a torn capsule will likely to sideline him for the remainder of the season. Pennington will seek a second opinion.

The seriousness of the injury not only has the potential to end his tenure in Miami, which was likely to conclude at the end of the season anyway. Now, one of the NFL's most accurate passers in league history could also be looking at the twilight of his career.

Pennington has already endured two serious surgeries to the same shoulder, which has caused him to face major, tedious recoveries. A two-time recipient of the NFL's Comeback Player of the Year award, Pennington will seek a second opion from Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala.

If this is the end of Pennington's time in Miami, it will have been short-lived but largely celebrated. He completed 321 of 476 passes last year for a career-high 3,653 yards while providing the inspiration for the greatest turnaround in NFL history."

6. Chad Henne to make first start
espn.com 9-28-09

Chad Henne, who went 10-for-19 for 92 yards with an interception, will likely make his first NFL start Sunday when the winless Dolphins play host to Buffalo.

"We're going to have to go out there with Henne, who is a lot less experienced," tight end Anthony Fasano said. "There is definitely going to be a learning curve for Henne. He can learn as much as he wants in a classroom, but until he's out on the field, in-game experience he's not going to learn.

"But we have a lot of faith in Chad. He's a smart guy, a great leader and fun to play with. We're just going to have to move on."

A second-round draft choice in 2008, Henne has been considered Pennington's heir apparent for more than a year. The challenge for the offense will be to develop a chemistry with Henne, receiver Greg Camarillo said.

9. Too bad for Pennington.
But that Chad Henne pick may end up really paying off for Miami.
