Who will earn the eighth spot in NBA Western Conference Playoffs

Currently the Nuggets hold a 2.5 game last years' Western Conferecne finalists the Wolves and 4.5 game lead on the other 2004 WC Finalist, the Lakers.

Nuggets 36-30; GB ---; 16 games remaining with 9 opponents over .500
Wolves 35-34; GB 2.5; 13 games remaining with 5 opponents over .500
Lakers 32-35; GB 4.5; 15 games remaining with 11 opponents over .500

The Nuggets are in the drivers seat and have been playing well winning 9 of last 10. The Wolves have easiest remaining schedule. The Lakers will be playing golf by the end of April.

4. I say the Nugs...

They're solid right now and George Karl has set their ship right. Minny is too inconsistent with their vets like Sprewell and Cassell, and Kobe can't lead a team on his own to the promised land. I don't think he'll ever do it -- he just doesn't get it. So, it's the Nuggets, I think.
