Better third baseman David Wright or Pablo Sandoval
Have it out.

Some people are smoking crack proclaiming that Sandoval is in the same league as David Wright. I think the comparison is absurd or even the the thought that Sandoval deserves an all star nod over Wright.

2. So far this year
Pablo has the superior numbers...that's been documented.

Then there is the suspicious power outage that David Wright has suddenly suffered...

3. And that's why Wright leads the league in batting AVG
Is the reigning gold glove champ.

Is third in stolen bases (I don't see Sandoval anywhere on the list).

Is second amongst third basemen in walks (Sandoval has half as many)

David Wright is so much more than just power numbers.

Sandoval is not even in this guys league.

6. Are you going to address this
or keep dancing around it?

David Wright..HR

2005-27

2006-26

2007-30

2008-33

2009-4 at his current pace, Wright is projected to hit 9 HR this year.

You know what the speculation is, and Wright's excuse that he's playing "small ball" just doesn't cut it. If I were guessing, I'd say he's now off the juice....his power numbers of the previous years listed are now extremely suspect.

7. That's your excuse
Wright is not getting pitched over the plate. He's made adjustments to his game to account for that.

You really do a lot of damage to what little shred of credibility you have left with this stuff.

Then again, you are known for making excuses for Barroid (I went through puberty twice and had no idea I was taking steroids) Bondroid.

David Wright is not a juicer. He's the furthest thing in this game from one.

That fact that you think Sandoval is better than one of the most well rounded players in the game speaks volumes about your so called "sports knowledge".

Funny that with his 4 HRs to Sandovals 14, Wright still has more RBIs. That stat alone flat out proves that Wright is miles better.

10. The numbers speak for themselves
for the previous 4 years until this one, Wright hit between 26-33 HRs. Now, suddenly poor little David has become a singles hitter with warning track power..and you're telling me it's because he's being pitched to differently? LOL.. These are ML pitchers, it doesn't take them 5 years to make adjustments.

There's really only two credible answers to Wright's amazing power outage...the first one is a significant injury..something your third baseman hasn't suffered. We all know what the second one is.

Pablo Sandoval is being compared to Vladimir Guerrero, while your little previously juiced up David Wright is more comparable to Brady Anderson...

8. Speed with 2 SB on the year
As opposed to Wright who has ten times that amount.

You really need to stop sucking on tail pipes and lay off the drink.

9. Yea, I'm a little bit leary of any statistics associated with Mr. Wright
as Upton has pointed out.

The speed I'm talking about is Pablo's range and speed chasing down foul balls, considering his size.

11. Uh oh, Wright just went yard
I suppose that means he's back on the juice (I get that you just can't admit that Wright is the better and deserves his accolades)

That might have something to do with the fact that he actually does have guys hitting behind him tonight and is getting pitches to hit.

stop the presses...little David Wright is up to 5 Hrs now!

Milwaukee is a notorious hitters park..Nate Schierholtz of the Giants hit one out off his front foot on Sunday.

15. Right now overall I'd take
Wright. But that will probably change by next season. Both are excellent defensively. I don't get a chance to see Wright too often but I do watch Sandoval pretty regularly. The guy has been a pure hitter since the moment he came up. Now he is adding power to his game (did he visit baroid's foot locker? one wonders). If he keeps maturing like he has the last two years he has a real chance to be one of the greats. So for right now Wright is being judged on his past laurels. But if he doesn't straighten it out by season's end he risks being totally forgotten by history. I have no such qualms about Pablo Sandoval. btw, Sandoval DOES have speed for a man his size; he's just not the base stealing type of player. That's not his game. But it doesn't matter.
