Take That Digger Phelps!
last night on college game night "BC, Please take care of West Virginia tomorrow!" Screw you Digger I want ND in the tourney too. I want as many teams from the BE in the dance as possible. WVU didn't mail in that performance last night against Rutgers. With that being said, I hope to see ND in the dance next week. Quality wins over Villanova, BC, and IU on the road might get them in.

1. Well, an early exit by BC aint' gonna help ND...
...I think like last year, ND is a lot better team that quite a few that will get invites, and the Irish will end up in the NIT.

I wonder why Digger still likes ND so much (I went there when he was coach) because he sued the school after he was fired!

2. Anyone That I Have Ever Know That Has Had Any Involvement...
with the University itself (ND) is very attached to it. So I'm not really surprised that Digger would feel strongly about the Irish. He probably still sees it as his program in alot of ways. I guess I just didn't see that ND and WVU getting bids were mutually exclusive of each other.

3. If ND had won yesterday, their bids probably wouldn't have been
mutually exclusive--WV is in now, ND is out. Even if WV had lost today, I don't kknow if that would have helped ND.

4. ND fan, and I didn't like his comments either
I don't see any reason why WVU and ND can't both go. WVU clearly earned it with the win over BC. ND screwed up bigtime vs Rutgers, but is still far more worthy than the ACC teams that didn't even have a winning conference record. IMO ND will get screwed for some team like NCSU or VT.

5. If NCSU Wins Today They Are Probably In...
if they can't beat Wake without St. Paul the Nutcracker then they don't deserve it.

6. Exactly
I don't think they are deserving, but beating a top 5 team (even w/o their star) will get them in. I'd love to see Wake beat them, which should take them off the bubble completely. VT and GT play each other, and I think VT is out with a loss. Maryland should not be near the tournament, especially after the Clemson sweep.

7. It Might Be Breaking Your Way Thor...
if you keep teams like Memphis or Oregon State from winning their conference tourneys and their might be just enough slots for 7 from the BE.
