Cavs get Shaq!!
I was hesitant about the Cavs getting Shaq, but for what the Cavs gave up, it's a great deal. I just hope Shaq's age doesn't catch up with him.

1. I'm sure securing a 38-year old former super star is exactly what the Cavs
needed to do to compete with Orlando and Los Angeles.

LOL

2. Well, look at what the Cavs gave up
Wallace and Pavlovic gave them very little in the playoffs. Pavlovic was always erratic and Wallace was good until he got hurt in February. So, even though Shaq is 37, the deal was definitely a big upgrade. Hopefully, he just doesn't get hurt. The Cleveland championship curse is still alive and well.

3. If the Cavs got Shaq this past year, they'd have won it all.
Shaq is another year older, and we'll have to wait and see. If Shaq can stay healthy, then the Cavs should have an easy road to the finals.

4. Also, the Cavs need to get rid of Mike Brown asap
He's a terrible offensive coach, and his deficiency will only rear its ugly head when he can't figure a way to make LBJ, Shaq, and the Cavs backcourt coexist.

5. This will work out good...
I'm sure Shaq will have no problem being 2nd fiddle to Lebron. :sarcasm:

14. DING DING DING! Hughee99, you're our grand prize winner!
I'm sure Shaq will have no problem being 2nd fiddle to Lebron.

Especially when you recall how well Shaq-Kobe worked out.

7. They could draft Jesus Christ and the Cavs will still not win a championship, its Cleveland.

11. Oh Yes, He Does!
He's a white guy. We all know that's all white guys can't do. Geez, they made a whole movie about how they can't dunk!

9. I'm hoping Shaq stays healthy
I wish they could have made this deal at last season's trade deadline. He had a very good season. Hopefully they'll let him sit out of some games the way the Suns did.

I'm looking forward to it. It should be fun having Shaq and Lebron together.

13. Five years ago it would have been a big deal.

I just don't know how an aging. injury-prone Shaq is going to help their Dwight Howard problem. Maybe they would have been better off trying to sign both Lebron and Bosh next summer, if they would at all fit under the cap.
