Is your concern for homophobia just an act? A card you play down here when it suits your needs, but one that you really don't care about when we really get down to it? Or is it something you actually want to be consistent on in life? If you want to claim there's no "political correctness in sports" than you're voiding any chance to complain when someone uses your homosexuality as an insult against you. Is that really the road you want to go down?

One of the reasons I haven't held a grudge against you over all this time is because beyond sports I thought we agreed on many things, but I have to say, watching you down here really makes me wonder how sincere your complaints are on some of these bigger issues, because you either don't get it, or choose not to. Of the gay people I know currently offline (4), all but one are out of shape. Of the ones I've known altogether (around a dozen), almost all of them were at least a little bit out of shape, some extremely so. There's no way I would make that connection because your quote is totally news to me. I figured gay people worked about the same amount as straight people...not often. I've never considered either group to be anything special in the health and looks department.

There was nothing phony about me being upset (though disappointed would be a far more accurate description than upset), and I'm glad you explained your point of view. But you have played the homophobia card in all seriousness here before, and this is the trouble. Your using the term heterosexual as an insult (as I saw it) seemed hypocritical to me in light of your serious stance against sexual orientation being used as a weapon in other instances towards you. The stereotypes you're basing it on are totally news to me, but I admit I learn something new everyday, and I take your word on how you meant it.

I apologize for not taking it the way you intended, but I hope you can see where I was coming from, and that there is nothing phony about it. I'm not a drama guy, and I don't say something like this stir up shit for the fun of it. I care about equality, and expect others to not only do the same, but do it in a consistent manner lest it undermine our arguments in favor.
