Manny's almost back and we're still on top?
:woohoo:

The AL West is getting their asses handed to 'em by the NL West these past couple games.

1. What is it, like another week or so?
The Dodgers did what they had to do when he was out, and they are in a perfect position now.

3. It's been your pitching
the Dodgers are tops in MLB in ERA (Giants are 3rd)...you're the Dodgers fan but as far as I know, that's pretty much unexpected..

5. The bullpen's been amazing for the most part
Troncoso, Belisario, and Broxton ERA's range from 2.00 to 2.30, and together they've pitched 110 innings plus. That's really solid.

Also having good fielders helps pare down the runs we allow.

Bills have been great and so has Wolf, and they needed to be since they've our only two regular starters. The rest of the rotation has been a patchwork of journeymen and injured pitchers. Milton and Weaver have been good, and Kuroda's back now. Kuroda's last two starts were poor, but the other two prior were good.

We still may need to try to get another starting pitcher by the deadline though.

4. Hmm..maybe like getting A-Hole back?
The Spankees were all excited that A-hole was coming back, and he did well at first, and now his p**s-poor play and off-field antics are a distraction that are bringing the team down.

6. Meh, we have three good outfielders now, so
if Manny wants to be a dick, he'd just ride the bench. When he's back Pierre or maybe Kemp would be benched, so he better perform and get an RBI a game. If he can have a hitting torrent like last year, we have a chance at winning 110 games.

7. You're better off without him...his contract, I believe, has an option for
either the team or himself not to give a second year....I bet the Dodgers dump him...sad end to his career...no one will take him after this.

8. If he can hit .300 with tons of doubles, I'll take him
Our team has the best OBP in the majors, but we need someone with power and not hit a single here and there. If Manny can hit 15-20 homers and hit .300 when he's back, we'll be hard to stop.

His contract is huge, but he's the exact guy we need in our lineup.

9. manny's a head case...the reception he gets at away games will
probably send him into a downward spiral. Don't expect much from him upon his return.

Hopefully half the crowd is Dodger fans like it was last year when I went to Petco Park. :D

11. Have fun...I should try and get tickets at Anaheim for the next time
America's Team comes to play...I'd been there several years ago and they never sold out, but that was before the Angels became decent.

12. I'm not a Dodger fan, but
I will give them due credit. You got that top spot and kept it and did so honest. Nobody can say that it was because of Manny's PED use (which you know folks would have) upon his return.

14. I like the Dodgers, but they play in kind of a weak division.
If they played in the AL or NL East, their record may not be as good. However, they are playing stellar ball this year.

15. That "weak division"
besides the Dodgers, has the tied for the wild card lead Giants plus the Rockies who after winning 13 out of 14 are only a 1/2 game back.

16. Yea, if the season were to end right now, the NL West's top three teams
would beat the top three teams in the NL East and Central.

Certainly Philly isn't playing great, the Mets are a train wreck and everyone else in the east is below .500.

The Giants took 2-of-3 from the inconsistent Cardinals last month, 2-of-3 from the inconsistent Brewers in April and the Cubs are a joke.

It wouldn't be an NL West romp, but saying the division sucks is clearly an overstatement.

And a franchise record 9 straight road games.

How far ahead will the Rox be on July 24th? You may as well forfeit.
