1. Hey, she can't sing
She might as well do something that keeps her in the news.

5. Getting naked in public doesn't do it for her anymore.
After all, everyone HAS SEEN her naked already!

2. Her ego is amazing
and ill-making. I'm personally just offended.

3. Madonna is just being Madonna--she literally subsists on controversy.
Edited on Mon Jun-05-06 10:37 PM by rocknation
Controversy for controversy's sake has always been her stock in trade. Now that she's too old to keep trading on her sex appeal, she has to make do with remaining traditional sources of guaranteed controversy: religion and politics. Yes, Madonna WAS one of the first celebrity AIDS activists. But she was so busy being generating even more controversy by publicly embracing the gay community, she didn't tell anyone that AIDS wasn't just for gays anymore.

12. I read the story
But I still didn't get the connection. That's why I was asking for an explanation.

13. Madonna - Live To Tell Lyrics

I have a tale to tell
Sometimes it gets so hard to hide it well
I was not ready for the fall
Too blind to see the writing on the wall

Chorus:

A man can tell a thousand lies
I've learned my lesson well
Hope I live to tell
The secret I have learned, 'till then
It will burn inside of me

I know where beauty lives
I've seen it once, I know the warm she gives
The light that you could never see
It shines inside, you can't take that from me

(chorus)

2nd Chorus:

The truth is never far behind
You kept it hidden well
If I live to tell
The secret I knew then
Will I ever have the chance again

If I ran away, I'd never have the strength
To go very far
How would they hear the beating of my heart
Will it grow cold
The secret that I hide, will I grow old
How will they hear
When will they learn
How will they know

(chorus)
(2nd chorus)

8. I get the feeling that Ms. M
is a rather mixed up middle-aged woman. Of course, she was pretty mixed up early on, as well.

She lost me when she moved to the UK and suddenly got an English accent.
