5. Just spoke to a professor about renal phsyiology
and what is a miracle is that the damn things work.
lol

Anyone who believes in "intelligent design" has no honest concept of how ridiculously and needlessly complex the human body really is.
It's obvious that any "design" is a hodge-podge, codged together mess.

That said, it's amazing that we've learned so freaking much about the human body.

2. Shared delusion?
Doesn't it usually start with someone convincing someone else something happened and then that growing into a mob of people thinking something happened?

So I guess I'll vote "other".

3. A Combination Of Misunderstanding Natural Phenomena ... And Outright Lies.
... fraud and deception. For example the "miracle" crying virgin Mary statue. Turns out to be Mazola. The "miracle" Jesus statue that "opened-its-eyes"... (oooooooo!) Turns out that it was already brittle and the eyelid chipped off when the statue was being cleaned too roughly.

6. I forgot to include the possibility: "An illusion."
Which is a different answer from "a misreading," because it implies a willingness to be duped, like a spectator at a magic show.
