The creationist BS and the authoritarian tone of many of the textbooks made we want to weep. Seriously, the 3rd Grade English textbook sad that GAWD will be angry at you if you don't use proper grammar. the 5th Grade Social Studies book quotes Genesis to explain why earth's axis is tilted.

1. Don't you have the ability to turn down donations?
I would have told them to go throw that bullshit in the dumpster out back.

9. That's blasphemy!
Throwing paper in the trash, when there are perfectly good recycling plants that could turn this garbage into something useful, like toilet paper.

For shame, for shame!

14. DU should take up a collection to buy those materials and then have you
do the honors of taking them straight to the recycling bin. After defacing them, of course.

4. That's why I prefer the King James version of the 3rd grade textbook.
"And lo, he that speaketh with the tongue of the sinners and whoremongers, him shall I smote, for it is offensive to mine ears."

then maybe burn them...although the toilet paper idea is a good one. Tough call.

15. Wondering about the history of those books. Did they look like they'd actually been used?
Edited on Thu Jul-14-11 11:10 PM by chalky
Was some child's mind actually warped from exposure to these tomes? Or did the previous owner buy them, crack them open, go, "WTF?!" and then promptly hustle them off to your shop?

Isaac Newton.
