When the time is right will you be rapture ready?

Since things are getting worse and worse in the world, is the devil working overtime?

The devil knows the Bible, so, he knows that his time is short. As time draws nearer and nearer to the return of Christ, the devil will continue to increase his efforts to keep people from trusting in the Lord.

Jesus described these last days for us. "You will hear of wars and rumors of wars ... Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places" (Matt. 24:6-7). Further, we are told to expect things to keep getting worse: "Evil men and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived" (2 Tim. 3:13).

Because of Satan’s increased efforts, we must work harder, too. It is the call to every believer to go and preach the Word. We must be witnesses for Christ in these last days, and we must keep ourselves ready to meet the Lord.

What is God's favorite color?

To answer this question, it is important to bear in mind two things: 1) The basic scientific principle that color is made up of reflected light that our eyes have the ability to sense, and 2) What God, himself, said about light in Genesis 1:1,3 and 4: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. And God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light. God saw that the light was good.”

Since God is the creator of light (and of color as well) and has proclaimed that it is good, meaning that He was completely happy with what He had made, the wonderful answer to the question of God's favorite color is: ALL of THEM, plus many, many more that we are not yet aware of.

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning" (James 1:17).

Will the Antichrist be a homosexual?

This question arises from the following Scripture about Antichrist:
“Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all” (Dan. 11:37).

Many Bible scholars believe that the phrase “desire of women” here means that Antichrist, the world’s last and most terrible tyrant, will be homosexual. Other scholars believe that the “desire of women” mentioned here refers to Jesus Christ, the Messiah, as longed for among Jewish women who desire that the prophesied Christ be born to them.

Another opinion might be more accurate. That is, this man will be so arrogant that nothing and no one can deter him from loving himself above all else. He will, much like Adolf Hitler, consider himself far too important to give much regard to women –especially to one woman.

Why is there no mention of America in prophecy?

The United States is mentioned nowhere in Bible prophecy by name. However, as the greatest nation ever to exist --technologically and scientificallyspeaking-- and as a nation that seems to have been designed by God to act as midwife and protector of Israel in its rebirth in 1948, one has to wonder if America is referred to somewhere in God's Word.

Some people believe it's mentioned in passages of Jeremiah, but I don't see it, personally. The Babylon spoken of is for a literally reborn Babylon, in my studied view.

The only reference we find, even obliquely, is in the Gog-Magog account of Ezekiel 38.

The "merchants of Tarshish" is reference to traders that came from the area of "Tarshish" or "land of tin." This is most often said to be the area of present-day England. The Scripture where this is mentioned is as follows:

"Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?" (Ezek. 38:13).

The "young lions" that follow "merchants of Tarshish" could include America, the offspring of Tarshish, as well as Australia, Canada, and a number of others that England spawned.

My own view is that when the rapture occurs, the US, which contains the largest numbers of true believers in Christ, will be in considerable disarray and chaos. Out of that might come a determination to join with the European Union in an effort to bring some semblance of order to the world.

Thus the US could be absorbed by that growing beast-state, out of which the beast, Antichrist, will come. This last world government is seen in Daniel 7 and more details are given in Daniel 9. More on Antichrist is found in Daniel 8 and in Revelation 13, which also speaks of this beast-state in the first few verses.

I don't know whether to laugh that people are serious about this or be very very afraid that so many people take this as fact.........:yoiks:

2. In terms of mentioning America or England or penguins...
...everything in the Bible could easily have been written by a middle-eastern person during the relevant times. Nothing noted or predicted in the NT is outside the knowledge of a typical first century writer living in the Roman Empire. Nothing in the Bible requires divine knowledge to explain. In fact, the numerous known factual errors it contains seems to rule out any divine origin.

4. I thought he was clear about
when the end of times would come. Didn't he say that there were some alive at the time, 2,000 years ago, that would live to see it. Either we missed it or we can not take anything he says literally. Please feel free to pick and choose as suits you. I do.

5. I believe........
that being rapture ready is the least of my worries. If history is any indication, every turn of the century since B.C. became A.D. a section of the population from most countries thought it would be the end of the world.
Listen up people, We. Are. Still. Here.

13. Clearly, if 'Tarshish' is the 'Land of tin' and England, then "the young lions thereof"

are its football team, whose symbol is three lions*. I think this is an obvious statement that Armageddon will occur at a sporting event. What's more, the metion of 'gold and silver' points to the Olympics.

But Muriel, I hear you object, the UK does not put a soccer team into the Olympics, because of the disagreement between the English, Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish football associations (the smaller ones being sore afraid that entering a combined UK team in the Olympics will persuade FIFA that they shouldn't take part in international competitions separately at any time). But that is why this pins down the year of the Apocalypse as 2012. Being the host nation, it has been agreed that an English team will represent the UK just this one time.

I predict the start of Armageddon will be the moment that the UK/England team loses the semifinal on penalties, to Israel. The lack of mention of the US in the Bible is because they'll have been knocked out in the group stage. By Ethiopia.

* A minor sect maintains that the lions are those on the England cricket team logo. But plainly, since cricket is the sport that God directed be played on pleasant Sunday afternoons, with a nice cream tea, it cannot be involved in the End Of The World.

21. For just $40 a year
For just $40 a year, believers can arrange for up to 62 people to get a final email message exactly six days after the Rapture.

http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/2008/06/service-lets-yo

We have written a computer program to do just that. It will send an Electronic Message (e-mail) to whomever you want after the rapture has taken place, and you and I have been taken to heaven.

How is this accomplished, you might ask. It's a dead man switch that will automatically send the emails when it is not reset.

If you wish to do something now that will help your unbelieving friends and family after the rapture, you need to add those persons email address to our database. Their names will be stored indefinitely and a letter will be sent out to each of them on the first Friday after the rapture. Then they will receive another letter every Friday after that.

Great. Weekly spam from heaven.
