If we didn't know that there are sincere racists, then we might guess that they're all insincere. How could ancestry and nothing more than ancestry be an adequate basis for hating an actual person? It seems unlikely that genealogical investigations of some particular person would be enough for a racist to fall in love and propose marriage. Consider misogyny and lust. One is hatred, but the other isn't love.
It seems to be easier to provoke hatred than love. If people apply their hatred to create suffering for others, then the sufferers might commiserate with each other. However, what is a way to go beyond commiseration and create love? Although creating love is more difficult than creating hatred, it shouldn't be impossible.

John 13 (King James Version)
34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
36 And, behold, one of the disciples stood up, and spoke, saying, Master, what should we do that we might love one another?

Matthew 5 (King James Version)
43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
49 And, behold, a certain strategist stood up, and spoke, saying, Master, what should we do that we might love our enemies?

You don't cure a case of insomnia by saying, "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye sleep all night and wake up refreshed."
