Demi Moore & Ashton Kutcher call it quits

Demi Moore is ending her marriage to Ashton Kutcher, the 49-year-old actress told The Associated Press Thursday.

Moore and Kutcher were wed in September 2005. The couple's relationship became tabloid fodder in recent months as rumors swirled about Kutcher's alleged infidelity.

"It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton. As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life. This is a trying time for me and my family, and so I would ask for the same compassion and privacy that you would give to anyone going through a similar situation," according to her statement to the AP.

It's not like Ashton was even the first to marry an older woman who was massively rich and successful, with enough money to float an aircraft carrier.

Cary Grant did it too--he married a wealthy older woman named Barbara (middle name WOOLWORTH) Hutton who helped his career-she opened doors, as she was stinking rich. She ended up having seven husbands and blowing her fortune, but she apparently had fun while so doing.

They called the pair, while they lasted, "Cash and Cary."
