Piers Morgan's Ratings Plummeting On CNN
Source: San Francisico Chronicle

Piers Morgan, the former America's Got Talent Host who replaced Larry King in CNN's Lineup, is seeing Nielsen ratings for his Piers Morgan Tonight show plummet in recent days. In fact, on Thursday 1/27, CNBC's Supermarket, Inc. special at 9 p.m. beat Piers Morgan Tonight.

CNBC had viewership of 234k in the coveted 25-54 demo and 504k total viewers. Piers Morgan, on the other hand, hit his lowest viewership to date with only 498k viewers and just 164k in the 25-54 demo. The lackluster numbers came with the popular Kardashian sisters as guests, nonetheless.

The guy is just too arrogant for an American audience. I don't expect his show to last long.

4. They picked an unfamiliar guy with nothing to say
Larry King wasn't perfect, but he was an established personality. That's tough to replace.

6. Could the fact that Morgan is an arrogant, right-wing
asshole have anything to do with it?

Just what the world needs, another talking head interview show.

Hey, CNN, whatever happened to NEWS? That's why people used to watch CNN: TO GET THE NEWS!

But good news coverage costs MONEY. They don't seem to want to spend money on news.

11. whatever he is, he's better than Fartin' Larry. :)
I've been trying to avoid CNN so don't really know how this new guy is. Did see his interview with Oprah and it wasn't too bad. But I can do without that kind of useless info.

CNN is full of useless idiots projectiling useless information. fuck em all, the lieing bastards.
well maybe not All, Zakaria is okay, Toobin seems ok.

12. CNN should be putting on current affair and political interviews
not sycophantic interviews with so-called celebrities that nobody has ever even heard of. Looking at the magazine covers in the checkout line gives enough information about that bunch.

14. I caught a bit of his interview with that gasbag Trump
and I thought Morgan did okay, challenging Trump to back up some of his off the wall assertions.

How I remember the interview:

Trump: "China is our enemy! We are the best nation in the world! We make the best products, bar none! Americans are the smartest people in the world!"
Morgan: "Er, Mr. Trump? China is investing everything in education and the US puts all its money into armies..."

17. Piers Will Be Out, Beck Will Be In
Mark my words. CNN will come begging shithead Glenn back to boost their ratings.

Seriously, who's making the decisions over there? Who did Morgan blow to get a show that big out of nowhere? So weird!

I'm curious to see what happens once Anderson gets his on daily talk show, which I believe has been sold in all markets.
