What's your favorite bleak/dystopian future flick?
I'm watching "Children of Men" right now. It's got to be my favorite "the future sucks" movie.

3. Eraserhead.
I've not seen any film so far that looks and sounds as bleak.

6. Brazil
Director's cut.

Second choice would be Blade Runner. Also the director's cut.

Coincidentally, both movies were initially spoiled by editors for the American theatrical releases.

7. The one where a Department of Fatherland SSecurity strip-searches people!
Did Hollywood ever make such a movie that combines authority figures in spiffy uniforms and hot women in pseudo-porn?

Oh wait, that was just today at airports all over America!

8. A Boy and His Dog
What more would you want than a dog that can smell out food and women, both in short supply.

"The Day After Tomorrow" is how I see things going down....I freaking love the scene where the 3 men make a toast. "TO MANCHESTER UNITED"...damn straight!

13. "Children Of Men" is mine too...what sold it for me was the scene
where he is being driven to the Ark of the Arts in a limo while "In The Court Of The Crimson King" plays languidly in the background.
