Help me out here...movie I saw when I was a kid...was it real or a dream?
OK so there was this movie I saw as a kid when I turned on HBO once in the 80s. I musta been 8 or so.

It was something like an Indiana Jones type movie with a horror twist. A bunch of people were in a temple with a big statue and they had to turn these gems or levers. Every time they did a new trap came out and killed or endangered one or them.

It was just a brief flash...but I cannot remember the name of the movie...

Can anyone help me?

1. Romancing the stone?
Just a guess. I can't remember if there is a scene like that or not.

It was about the same time the John Carpenter version of the Thing came out.

3. Treasure of the Four Crowns?
Shooting in the dark here - don't remember much about the movie except for the opening segment.

10. Glad I could help!
Rather forgettable movie, apparently - although it featured what at the time was one of the best 3D effect I had seen to date (with the falling leaves into the pit).

7. How about:
King Solomon's Mine
The Goonies (The tunnel network had traps)
Logans Run (Not a temple but an auditorium that killed those over 30.)
One of the Indiana Jones movies

Probably not the silent film, Temple, which meets your description.

8. "King Solomon's Mines" (1985)? "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" (1984)?

11. Naw it was the rather B movie listed above.
I love those big production movies you listed.

There was a reason why I could no recall it...it was really obscure!

THanks though!
