Six Feet Under
I saw a few episodes of the first season of this show back when I had cable. Then we dropped cable & I forgot about it until I saw "Dexter." Seeing Michael C. Hall reminded me of "Six Feet Under" so I've rented it from Netflix & I'm so glad I did! What a quirky, entertaining show! I just started season three & have two more seasons to go! The characters are so diverse - not like most Hollywood fare where everyone is pretty conventional & one dimensional.

As for "Dexter" - that is some of the best television writing I've seen in a long time. I've seen three seasons & each one has been great. Usually by season three, a show starts to lose it's edge. Not this one! I can't wait till season four comes out on DVD - I love Lithgow! It should be fantastic!

I really like waiting for shows to come out on DVD - you can watch the whole season in a few days. Such a better way to watch!

5. I love the deaths at the beginning of each show
Unique ways of dying.

The woman killed midst rapture was hysterical. (That is a very strange sentence.)

11. Also "girl's night out" unfortunately running into the crane...
Two of my favorites.

One of the very few series where I bought the whole set on DVD. I very rarely like a show THAT much.

Ack! I just flashed on the very first episode, with the glitzy commercials for hearses and embalming fluid.

12. I've been waiting for this episode since you posted.
I watched it last night. I laughed so hard I had to pause the DVD. I was wondering how they could possibly do a rapture scene & like I'm finding out, SFU never disappoints!

9. Wait 'till you catch Alan Ball's new show True Blood.
Just as rich in characters, just as quirky a story, just as brilliant in writing but a very different subject matter. The show does not follow the books by Charlane Harris closely, but they took her premise and characters and built their own story, so it's new.

I'd say True Blood is every bit as good as Six Feet Under.

10. The best series finale I've EVER seen.
The last episode ties everything up so
well, I was laughing and sobbing at the
same time.

Fabulous show.

The final episode is perfect, but be prepared for the water works. I cry every time I watch it.
