I recently caught part of a comedy act on (I think) HBO: it was a white, male stand up routine. Guy looked like late 30's-early 40's.
Did the whole performance next to a wooden stool with a glass of some alcoholic beverage on it, which he drank from throughout the performance. Somewhat offcolor. Anybody recognize this guy from my pathetically vague description?

Edited to add that he told several jokes about his dog, one of which referred to the dogs "frustration" at not having an opposable thumb...

especially if his dog was named Sluggo and the joke was about obtaining semen for breeding.

But he is more like 40s to 50.

Part of the Blue collar comedy tour. Pretty much the only one I can stand.

3. Sounds Like Ron White.
Used to be or still is part of the Blue Collar group with Larry the Cable Guy & Jeff Foxworthy. His solo act is very funny.

7. First time I saw Ron White I was expecting to hate him.
Not a big fan of the Blue Collar Comedy tour, but he ended up being funny as Hell. Forget the other two clowns, Ron is hilarious.
