10. There has never been a really good video/movie/tv show for this story
I think it's a really difficult story to bring to life

If anyone can do it, it is Tim Burton

But, like you, I am skeptical

6. They probably own the film rights to it. If Burton wanted to make it,
Then he'd have to make it for them.

Disney also owns the rights to all the Oz books except for Wizard, which is owned by MGM, now a Sony company.
