1. I don't think he's insane. Perhaps he's a less-than-gifted actor playing someone
who is decompensating.

He seems kind of angry and exasperated a lot of the time.

His wife appears to be very beautiful and serene and they appear to love their baby.

His films are watchable but not my personal favorites usually, unless he's on screen with Dustin Hoffman, who really is a gifted actor.

I hope he finds some inhabitable space in his thinking and does some good work.

2. I don't think he's insane.
He's just not the brightest bulb in the package. He's sexy if he keep his mouth shut.

3. No
while insane people have strange beliefs, having strange beliefs does not mean one is insane.

4. Video just shows one aspect of that, he let us see others. In his favor though
his film company made a separate deal with the WGA (Writers Guild)- so, weather he is aware of it or not - it's a plus.

5. I think he's bi-polar.
with an enabling family. His longtime manager (or PR person can't remember which) knew how to handle him-and was an excellent filter between his more erratic behavior and the public. Now that his sister handles his PR-I think she's too close to his behavior to see it as goofy-so we see more manic episodes from him.

8. I think he's brainwashed for lack of a better word.
I think he had a fairly troubled life both in terms of his home life and also if I remember correctly struggling with Dyslexia. I think acting led him to a life where he was susceptible to not only the media and studio execs pumping him up but also the church of scientology playing on a lot of his personal/life issues. I just think that the combination of those two things has led him to really lose touch with basic reality.

and therefore easily indoctrinated with stuff he doesn't really understand.
