Susan Oliver: Odyssey: A Daring Transatlantic Journey?
Edited on Mon Sep-13-10 06:37 AM by chillspike
Is this book impossible to find online for a realistic price?

Someone's selling it for $179.00 on Amazon!!!

Does anyone know where I can find this book at a more realistic price?

1. The book is out of print, right?
I looked on Alibris and Biblio, plus a few others my brother the bookseller uses. The lowest I found was Alibris.com, and it's still $115.

I've been looking for years for a copy of Frank Deford's "Five Strides on a Banked Track" and its the same problem. Once a book is out of print it'll sell for what douche-nozzles with lots of money are willing to pay.

If you want to own it, you probably have to pay. If you just want to read it, well, that's easier.

Good luck.

2. I just want to read it
Can't believe all books aren't available digitally in this day and age.

3. I did an international library search for you
using OCLC Worldcat. It appears that this book is only held by 256 libraries worldwide. This might explain it's crazy expensiveness. If you PM your state I'll send you a list of of libraries that hold it and you should be able to request it from ILL through your public library.
