Jimmy Carter's "Sharing the Good Times" and comparing Clinton
The idea is that we enjoy the good times best when we share them with each other. In this book Carter shares the good times with his readers. Readers join Carter in his travels throughout the world as he combines business with pleasure.

A story that DUer's will enjoy is about building homes for Habitat for Humanity in Korea's DMZ with a jab at *.

Interesting to compare Clinton and Carter. Carter appears to be a rugged individualist struggling, and succeeding, in sharing with others. A significant part of Carter's life involved using his practical skills at such things as seamanship, woodworking and farming.

Carter also devotes some time to segregation and his opposition to it.

Clinton will never be known for his woodworking or other practical skills, but he describes instances that show he isn't without practical skills. More than anything Clinton is all about friendships. Segregation and Clinton's opposition to anything racist is a major part of his book.

Some have been critical of Carter's book because fishing is such a dominate part of it. I found it interesting and the legitimate question, "should we fish and under what circumstances" I'll leave for others.

1. our former presidents make theirs pale in comparison
I like Jerry Ford, but he spent most of his post-presidency on corporate boards and playing golf. Poppy has spent his post-presidency currying favors with the Saudi's and jumping out of planes.
