Robert Crais, new one CHASING DARKNESS
Elvis Cole is back, with Joe Pike and Starkey. Am only on page 36 but am glad to see Cole again. I've read most of all Crais has written. One of my favs is THE TWO MINUTE RULE, which is not a Cole book but a stand alone. Recommend Crais to all mystery fans.

You can find all his stuff at:

1. I love Elvis and Joe --
Don't remember who Starkey is, but I'll find out.

Thanks!! I was just thinking about him the other day - wondering if he had a new one coming out.

2. Absolutely.
I've read all his books, the only problem is he doesn't write faster so I have to wait too long for the next book to come out . . .

and to celebrate my return to employed status, my husband and I are planning to see him and come home with an autographed copy (to fight over) :hi:
while I was unemployed I read everything that Mr Crais has written. Gotta Elvis and Joe.

6. Good for you.....
Give Crais a big hug from me and tell him to quit traveling around and get busy on his next book. I'm getting old and don't have time to wait around.

Just finished CHASING DARKNESS and needless to say, it was very good.

One thing I like about Crais is that he doesn't tell you what color the sky is every time the character is going somewhere.. ;)

He puts a 400-page novel into 276 pages leaving out all the paragraphs that other writers put in that you just skim over about the weather, the sky, shadow formations, geographical locations, the kind of stuff that makes you yawn when it has no bearing on the story.
